Situated in the charming market town of St Ives. Philip started his career at Floods 12 years ago as a glass collector and tried his hand at a few roles including kitchen porter, barman, bar supervisor, bar manager and now a very proud landlord.

Whether travelling by land or water, you’ll always arrive to a warm welcome at Floods Bar & Eatery. Idyllically set on the picturesque banks of the River Great Ouse in St Ives, Cambridgeshire, we’re a family friendly pub and restaurant offering an assortment of cask ales, fine wines, superior spirits and mouth watering pub grub enjoyed inside or out thanks to our tranquil riverside garden bar.

Maybe you fancy a pint of your favourite bitter after work, a catch up with the girls for a cold crisp glass of Pinot Grigio or treating the family to some classic British dishes with a modern twist… Floods offers it all under one roof.

Floods is a charming Grade II listed building dating back to the 18th century offering a roaring log-fire in the winter and peaceful riverside views in the garden bar in the summer. During the day, Floods is relaxed and child friendly where you can enjoy a coffee with a cupcake or sample our new menu with a range of beers and wines. At night, Floods is known for showcasing local talent, from acoustic solos to the latest home grown rock ‘n’ roll bands, bringing an incredible amount of passion and energy under our roof.

Floods Tavern

Dear all the well wishers and people who have shared and commented on our post regarding the Remembrance Day Window Display.

The post has only been up for a few hours and I’ve been contacted regarding the incident. Rather than continue with this post and the unbelievable support it has received, It has now been removed and we once again thank you for all your support.

We would never want to create a “witch hunt” but we were very upset to discover they had been removed and posted in the heat of the moment. Having been the Landlord for six years, I understand that many people do silly things when they’ve had a drink. The matter has now been dealt with.

Many thanks,
The Floods Team

Floods Tavern

On November 11th 2018 it’s the 100 year anniversary of the end of the First World War!

To celebrate this and to remember all of those brave men and women who fought for our Country, many of whom making the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom, we at Floods Tavern have created a tribute to all who have protected our country in this war and every other war and battlefield since.

We thank you all for your service to this great nation and we remember our fallen heroes.
