Farmers' Market - Closed

It is with much regret that the decision has been taken to close the Farmers' and Specialist Food Market until further notice. Even though markets are allowed to continue to operate in the current climate as they do provide vital food.

Last week all traders were asked for their views on whether the market should continue or not. Out of those who responded 5 wished to continue trading with 12 stating that they either would not attend, were trading in other ways or were not trading at the current time. Based on these responses, the Councils ability to maintain social distancing for all involved – traders, staff and customers – the decision has been taken to cancel all markets until further notice.

Once we have an indication of when we may be able to start again we will be in touch. In the meantime we wish you all good health and thank you for your support so far.
