St Ives Bulls attempts to gain promotion for the second year running took a knock last Saturday as they too were incapacited by a nest of Vipers. The Vipers in this case were the Vipers Rugby Club from Whetstone, near Leicester who, before Saturday’s game with only three wins this season were facing relegation, but somehow managed to beat the Bulls convincingly by 27-17 pts.
Following a brilliant win the previous week, away to table toppers Olney, who had lost only once all season, the Bulls were naturally very dissappointed to lose and are now 9 points behind second place Market Harborough with just 4 games left.
