The Royal Air Force is retiring its aging Tornado aircraft following many years of fantastic service to our country. The Tornado first saw service in 1979 and was used extensively in the first gulf war in 1991.

As part of the retirement celebrations three aircraft have been following a flypast route over the country to each of the areas that have given such great support over the years. St Ives was given the honour of being one of those areas and the three jets made a magnificent picture as they flew over the town.
